AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
The Partner GTM role offers a unique opportunity to operate at scale across all markets Asia Pacific & Japan, and make meaningful change to an industry, which is ripe for change. The role blends high level visioning and detailed execution into a single mould to deliver results.
Key job responsibilities
The APJ Partner Sales team helps accelerate the Partner business for AWS across Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) by (a) making investments and undertaking initiatives with pan-APJ impact (b) scaling up learnings from individual countries to entire region, (c) acting as a center of excellence for building pan-APJ sales plays, and (d) representing APJ in AWS world-wide forums and helping resolve issues.
We undertake detailed analyses of the business across different countries in APJ to track value levers and identify best practices, which is then used to design initiatives to accelerate our growth. We are currently running multiple initiatives and investments (internal and customer-facing schemes and constructs for business acceleration) aimed at various customer segments and targeting different business acceleration levers.
We are looking to hire exceptional candidates, who will be responsible for (a) supporting the execution various APJ level initiatives and investments, (b) tracking the progress and delivery metrics, (c) identify performance trends and potential gaps / accelerators, (d) design and implement process changes in consultation with the stakeholders to improve performance. The incumbent will work closely with our central strategy team, APJ field teams (Partner, Sales, Marketing teams etc), and our partner stakeholders.
She/he will have a demonstrated ability in data mining, analytics and process-design. She/he will have experience in driving multiple cross industry and collaborative initiatives to meet a common business objective with a customer-obsessed approach. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and ability to deliver in ambiguity is a must.

Basic Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Overall experience of 5-10 years in business analytics / business intelligence / sales strategy / financial planning / business consulting or strategy, in technology context sales, or a mix of such experience
- Hands-on skills with SQL for querying and extracting data, programming languages (Python, Java, R, etc.) for data gathering and cleansing, data visualization software (QuickSight, Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, etc.) for effective data presentation
- Proven track record of managing and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance, once the objectives have been set, and overall direction has been aligned
- Willingness to travel to meet with partners, customers and internal stakeholders, attend events and support field teams on site
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of working with large, global organizations
- Technology and cloud products and services experience
