Description
Salary : $2400 - $2800 (Depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
* Conduct interviews and provide information on sexually transmitted infections (STIs), advising on safe sex practices and STI prevention.
* Trace and contact the sexual partner(s) of patients diagnosed with STIs.
* Follow up with patients diagnosed with STIs or those who have defaulted treatment.
* Contact patients' sexual partners for screening and treatment.
* Review electronic medical records (EMR) details, follow up with the doctor in charge, and code diagnoses.
* Review treatment details and update outcomes.
* Provide Medical Scheme information and STI education to brothel keepers and Medical Scheme registrants.
* Participate in public health, educational, and research activities and projects (such as the HIV ST Project).
Requirements:
* Minimum Diploma in any discipline (preferably in social work).
* Counselling background preferred.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
