Job Description

To support the research development, communication strategy and administration of the Climate, Environment and Health programme.


Duties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to identification of relevant initiatives on Climate, Environment and Health in Singapore and Southeast Asia and development of collaborations;
- Develop and implement communication strategy for climate, environment and health programme internally and externally;
- Support and contribute to research activities on environmental change and health in Southeast Asia;

- Administration for climate, environment and health projects (e.g. Finance, procurement and research matters), including grants. Training to be able to independently manage grants and services;

- Support to new projects being set up by the School through CHP (administration and coordination);

- Support in the organisation of events and initiatives such as seminars/webinars, conferences, leadership programmes etc;

- Travel bookings, room bookings, meetings bookings;

- Other duties in support of the team and related with the role

Qualifications

- Possesses a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field (e.g. environmental science, sustainability, public health) and at least 2 years relevant work experience

- Experience of work in support of projects within a university environment (e.g. grants, service contracts, some financial administration), or equivalent experience

- Experience in organising training and events, online and in-person

- A good team player who is self-motivated and well-organised with the ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines

- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills

- IT/System savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

- Interest in climate change and sustainability

- Ideally, knowledge of NUS processes and systems
