In this position as an Head of Motor Insurance, you will be reporting to the COO and be responsible for driving the company’s motor insurance strategy which include retail, motor and fleet business. The incumbent is responsible for leading, strategizing and executing initiatives to drive sales, enhance profitability, and ensure operational excellence within the motor department.
In this position as a Head of Motor, you will oversee a small team based in Singapore which consist of Business Development Managers and Underwriters and you will be expected to develop and execute strategic plans to drive the growth and profitability of the motor insurance division. You will be required to set clear objectives and goals for the team and monitor progress towards achieving them.
As a Head of Motor, you will be required to work closely with cross functional teams, including technical, sales, policy administration and finance to deliver quality service to customer and distributors and ensure the growth of the motor portfolio. The ideal incumbent needs to be able to work with distributors and automotive industry players, to expand market reach and develop the motor insurance business.
** Based in Singapore, office is located at CBD - walking distance from MRT
** Manage a team of Underwriters with potfolio consist of Fleet, Private, Commercial and High performance car
** Offers hybrid work arrangement - 2 days WFH a week

Skills & experience required
- 10+ years of experience underwriting Personal lines and motor Insurance
- Team management experience and experienced overseeing a small department
- In-depth knowledge of the motor insurance market and regulatory requirements
- Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
