Job Scope
- Oversee and manage all aspects of export and import operations.
- Develop, implement, and continually improve operational procedures for air freight forwarding, both for imports and exports.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with air carriers, taking the lead in these discussions.
- Work closely with the commercial team, particularly Key Accounts, to meet and exceed business plan targets.
- Cultivate and sustain long-term relationships with clients, airlines, and terminals.
- Ensure compliance with TSA, Customs, and other relevant laws and regulations governing imports and exports.
- Maintain flexibility in work schedule to accommodate operational demands.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team.
- Undertake any additional tasks or projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirement
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in similar positions with a minimum of 3 years in an airfreight supervisory or management position
- Strong knowledge and command of documentation, procedures, and rules for air cargo transportation
- Preference given to candidates with strong knowledge of handling out-of-gauge cargo, dangerous goods, and chemicals
- Good working experience with MS Office and related Air/Shipping Software
