Job description:
- Plan and implement early childhood curriculum to meet the physical, emotional and social, intellectual needs of the young children
- Provide activities, apparatus and equipment to support the various curriculum areas planned for the children
- Set-up a conducive, effective, and healthy learning environment for the children
- Provide a safe and clean learning environment for the care and development of the children in the centre
- Maintain good classroom management
- Shower, feed, change diapers, and toilet train the younger children
- Monitor and ensure sick or recovering children take their medicine
- Supervise and manage the children during both indoors and outdoors activities
- Keep progress report and comprehensive portfolio of each child and provide input on the child’s development
- Build good rapport with parents including maintain regular communication with parents via Parents’ Communication Book
- Build and maintain good rapport with colleagues and children
- Assist the Centre to meet all applicable statutory licensing regulations
- Review and recommend improvement to work processes and procedures whenever necessary
Requirements:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Development & Education or Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education (ACECCE)
- Certified by Early Childhood and Development Agency (ECDA) at L2 or L1 category
- Preferably with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
