JOB DESCRIPTION
This role will to be responsible for the overall performance of Shipping operation and Chartering Dept. To commercially manage our own dry bulk fleet and optimize earnings and ensure safe and smooth day-to-day operations of vessels. Will report to the CEO, and play a leadership role and overlook Shipping operation and chartering department.
REQUIREMENT
1. Bachelor’s degree and above in Marine Navigation /Maritime Studies, etc.
2. Sailing experience on dry bulk carriers (cape size) as Captain;
3. At Least 12 years of ship operation and chartering experience in dry bulk sector;
4. Thorough understanding of the cyclical dry bulk chartering market;
5. Thorough knowledge of chartering and operations software, such as Veson Nautical’s IMOS, etc.;
6. Formal COSCO and other Chinese Fleet Group Company experience would be an advantage.
7. Good shipping contacts and relationship with clients and related community
Sound communicational skills are required, especially with ship owners, cargo owners, on-board crews, ship brokers, etc.
