Talbot is an international insurer and reinsurer operating within the Lloyd’s market through Syndicates 1183. We have been a member company of AIG since 2018 and our ambition is to be AIG’s Centre of Excellence at Lloyd’s. Headquartered in London, Talbot has offices in New York and Singapore and over 300 people working across these three locations.

Syndicate 1183 underwrites multiple classes of business including Political Violence/Terrorism, Marine and Aviation War, Energy (off-shore and on-shore), Marine and Energy Liability, Hull, Cargo and Specie, Political Risk, Property, Accident and Health, Financial Lines, Cyber and Alternative Risks.
About the role
What you need to know:
The Insurance Management Associate Programme (iMAP) is the flagship talent development designed and initiated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) to attract and develop young local talent for Specialist & Leadership roles in this industry. Launched in 2009, it is a structured 2-year fast track talent programme that offers professional accreditation and certifications, on-the-job training linked to rotations, mentorship, international exposure, and special activities. In addition to putting what you have learnt into practice, iMAP also provides a structured post-programme career development with a view to leadership.
As a Management Associate on the iMAP, you will be exposed to:
- Full sponsorship of internationally recognised professional qualifications awarded by The Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) and The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK
- Job rotations across various lines of business to develop a holistic understanding of the business
- Mentorship from experienced practitioners and leaders in the company
- On-the-job training
- Support from the company on your lecture and examination schedule
- Special activities including visits and talks
- Overseas International Insurance Programme
