Key Responsibilities:
Financial Matters:
- Conclude and maintain loan agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Coordinate Japan Operating Leases for new and Purchase Option vessels, handling negotiations and related financial aspects.
- Manage cash flow and enhance liquidity, optimizing financial resources.
- Liaise with financers and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions.
Merger & Acquisition Matters:
- Oversee and coordinate post-merger integration processes.
- Lead the integration of accounting systems across merged entities, ensuring seamless transition.
- Establish standardized accounting policies and procedures, reinforcing governance and regulatory compliance.
Daily Jobs and Others:
- Oversee AP, AR and GL.
- Manage the finance committee, providing guidance on financial matters and ensuring proper governance.
- Perform other related duties as required, ensuring smooth financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related professional field.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in Shipping industry.
- Proficient in Japanese with JLPT Level N1 certification, to liaise with Japanese financier.
- Extensive experience in finance and accounting management, particularly in areas such as loan agreements, cash management, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Profound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiar with accounting software systems ie. Oracle, as well as advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
