Job Summary
Responsible for handling regional and market Finance responsibilities. Oversee the Regional finance and Singapore finance and accounting team to improve financial controlling and reporting requirements for the company. Manage financing and industry requirements as well as balancing the risks exposure for the company. Would be responsible for coordinating guidance between global and APAC markets complex technical accounting matters (IFRS / local GAAP) as applicable. Job responsibility includes timely, accurate and informative monthly reporting as well as other ad hoc reports per national, regional and/or global requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
REGIONAL
Accounting & balance sheet governance
- Ensuring strong financial control environment over AR / AP / GL and month close process to safeguard company assets
- Compliance to local GAAP / IFRS and global accounting policies
- Maintaining Strong balance sheet governance
Reporting
- Review and align reporting in accordance with Regional and Global standards.
- Working closely with respective Finance team of APAC owned entities to drive for better transparency in financial information for better rationalization of reported KPIs, business trending, financial variances and other statistical results.
- Participate in month end review on respective APAC entities for timely and accurate monthly management and financial information.
- Prepare and support Regional financial reporting BAU includes monthly financial and management flash update, business update, phasing analysis etc.
- Coordinate timely and accurate sales tracker BAU update with respective owned entities in compliance to regional reporting framework, including provide guidance to local team, analyze and verify local markets’ input
Budgeting & forecasting
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting process for the APAC Region in compliance with Global and Regional controlling framework.
- Working closely with respective functional team of APAC owned entities to drive for better transparency in revenue budgeting, forecasting and recognizing for better rationalization of reported KPIs, business trending, financial variances and other statistical results.
Controlling process
- Assist in progressively review, determine and implement any best practices for the APAC entities to streamline analytical reporting process for better management decision-making.
- Working closely with respective functional team of APAC owned entities to drive for better transparency in revenue budgeting, forecasting and recognizing for better rationalization of reported KPIs, business trending, financial variances and other statistical results.
- Recommends and develops policies, procedures and systems to meet company objectives.
Project & business modeling
- Participate in APAC initiative for controlling and reporting efficiency.
- Handle ad-hoc business modeling & project assigned.
SINGAPORE market related responsibilities
- Oversee the operations and delivery of Singapore finance and accounting department, responsible for supporting Singapore’s growth and profitability through partnership with local GM and MD.
- Responsible for all aspects of financial and accounting activities, these include but not limited to financial planning, budgeting, analysis and reporting, client finance interfacing, controllership, taxation and cash management etc.
- Ensure that KPIs of the Singapore is measured, analyzed and propose solutions when required.
- Influence activities or spearhead initiatives that will drive higher operational productivity, customer experience as well as company’s profitability.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned. Can be assigned to any other market as well.
