Job Description
The Visiting Professor will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), the department team and the neurooncology services which include radiation and pathology . His or her role will be to evaluate the neurooncology practice at the National University Hospital Singapore. He or she will provide her insights and advice, and supervise activities and training.
Main duties and responsibilities
The visiting Professor will liase with the relevant personnel in hospital to deliver the following:
- Protocols followed in treating children with brain tumors.
- Deliver talks at the NCIS grand rounds, department CME, and the upcoming Asian Society of Neurooncology meeting to be hosted by Singapore hospitals.
- Conduct teaching sessions for post graduates and undergraduate students.
- Meet with researchers working on brain tumors in Singapore and provide mentorship and guidance.
Qualifications
- be a Professor of Paediatric neurooncology with clinical and research expertise in a leading academic paediatric institution
- be able to help the division of paediatric neurooncology team to streamline the education and research activities.
- Provide guidance for advancing research and clinical expertise in treating children with brain tumors.
