Our client is a renowned service provider in the Oil & Gas industry. They provide end-to-end services tailored to specific requirements. They are undergoing expansion in recent years and are now looking to expand their headcount with a Machine Shop Supervisor.
Your new role
A few of your responsibilities would be ;
· Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of Leadman/machinists to meet production schedules and targets.
· Participate in pre-process discussions, including decisions on the tools and fixtures to be used for various jobs.
· Assist in production planning, control of raw materials, and daily maintenance of processes.
· Strive for continuous improvement in process flow and quality yield.
· Provide strong leadership, setting clear work directions for the production team to achieve business objectives.
· Conduct training and coaching sessions to enable machinists to take on multiple roles.
· Advise the Production Manager in the assessment of team members.
· Uphold high quality and safety standards on the shop floor.
What you'll need to succeed
· Minimum NTC-2 qualification in Manufacturing or any related field.
· At least 10 years of working experience in a machine shop, with knowledge of CNC milling and turning. Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is preferred.
· A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing industry.
· Possess good interpersonal skills and maintain a positive attitude.
· Ability to communicate effectively and work with a diverse team.
