System Engineer
The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Responding to and resolving technical issues: This involves troubleshooting servers, software, network, security, and application problems.
- Ensuring IT security: Responsibilities include maintaining user access controls, managing software licenses, coordinating security awareness training, and assisting with the implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Maintaining IT assets: The role requires tracking and recording IT equipment and applying security patches/ updates.
- Project implementation: The incumbent will participate in infrastructure projects, and new technology implementations as directed by the Head of IT.
- Collaboration and reporting: This role involves working with regional IT teams, reporting security incidents, and assisting with compliance audits.
Support
- Provide first line of support for technical helpdesk and on-site end-user support.
- Performing Access Administration (Domain accounts, Email accounts, Folder Access, Applications Access etc.)
- Hardware/ Software License Management (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.)
- Ensure all IT assets are properly tracked and recorded in the asset management system
- Document and track identified issues and escalation processes.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of IT security incidents, infrastructure/ network issues, application functionality/bugs and end-user computing problems
- Assist in implementing and adhering to IT Manager, Regional IT security tools, policies and procedures within the country office.
- Coordinate and deliver security awareness training for employees in the country office.
- Follow established procedures for responding to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Maintain security software patches and updates on systems and devices in the country office.
- Collaborate with regional IT teams during incident response activities.
- Report security incidents to the Head of IT for further investigation and escalation.
- Assist the Head of IT with any compliance audits or assessments.
- Undertaking projects as requested by reporting Manager
