A research-intensive public university, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) has 33,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Engineering, Business, Science, Medicine, Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences, and Graduate colleges. Sitting within NTU, NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) provides entrepreneurship education within the University and the region.
The Senior Executive, Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) will execute the operations of the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) of NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) to assist in the promotion and marketing courses, register participants for courses, prepare instructors’ contract, oversee the logistical preparation before classes, time-tabling, assist in outreach activities, to ensure smooth operation of the programme. The incumbent will assist to track payment and SSG’s approval for subsidies on new courses. S/he will assist the Assistant Managers in tracking expenses and cost to ensure business viability, without compromising the quality and the outcome of the programmes.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in the marketing and promotion of new CET courses and promote to attract participants
- Assist in the preparation of promotional materials or events (online and in-person) to promote the new CET courses of NTUpreneur, create EDMs and update information on website.
- Generate content for posting on social media.
- Attend to public or corporate enquiry on courses.
2. Support Business Development Activities
- Organise and facilitate BD’s and Lead’s meetings with external agencies to promote NTUpreneur courses.
- Maintain customer database, with brief notes on their interest, follow up with customers to encourage them to register for courses, oversee the registration of participants and ensure that all information and documentation required for SSG grants are in order.
3. Excellent Logistical Support for Smooth Running of Classes
- Ensure classroom facilities and stationeries are ready before the classes.
- Arrange catering, transport (overseas inbound courses) and book other venues if required.
- Prepare certificates of participation
- Provide admin support to instructors
- Create a marketing plan and strategies to target at the right audience effectively.
- Draft and design publicity materials.
4. Organise and Provide Admin Support
- Oversee and plan class schedules and timetable
- Contact instructors in advance to confirm their availability
- Attend to Instructors’ or Mentors’ requests
- Take attendance and submit to SSG where necessary
- Administer feedback and analyse results for review
- Provide support for all participants outreach and engagement activities
5. Ensure Timely Processing of Course Fees
- Ensure course fees are paid on time and follow up with participants if necessary.
- Ensure all documents for SSG claims are submitted.
- Process refunds when necessary.
- Submit report PaCE on CET courses on a monthly.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in any discipline
- Knowledge in entrepreneurship and the start-up ecosystem
- Knowledge and experience in running CET programmes
- SSG funding application processes
- Budget planning and revenue projection
- Preferably at least 2 years relevant work experience in CET management/ administration
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in working with professors, government agencies and international organisations will be advantageous
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Capability to work independently to drive the execution of projects with the team
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently, even under tight deadlines
- Creative and ability to conceptualise and develop educational programmes that meet industry needs
- Meticulous and eye for details in planning and organising programmes
