Responsible to assist the specialists in dental care delivery
according to established hospital policies, procedures and standards of dental care and practices.
Job Description
- Provide chair-side assistance to dental specialists across various disciplines for treatment and procedures.
- Ensure readiness of instruments and materials for each appointment and maintain dental instrument functionality.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain standards of infection control.
- Follow safety regulations when handling dental instruments and equipment.
- Assist in cleaning, sterilizing, sorting, and packing instruments in the general sterilization area.
- Manage inventory in designated dental operatory and assist in stock ordering.
- Aid in patient appointments and ensure a smooth experience for them.
- Collaborate with clinicians and healthcare providers to ensure seamless delivery of dental care.
- Participate in service quality improvement initiatives.
- Offer guidance and support to junior dental assisting staff.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Clinic Supervisor or Clinic Manager.
Requirements
• Minimum NITEC Certification in Dental Assisting or Equivalent Qualification.
• Preferably with proficiency in computer skills (MS Office).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player and also able to work independently.
• Display compassion and have a positive and caring attitude
