What the role is
The Building Development Department (BDD) oversees the development, re-development and refurbishment of MSE-owned infrastructure such as hawker centres and after-death facilities.
What you will be working on
You will be part of the team to oversee the development, re-development and refurbishment of MSE-owned infrastructure such as hawker centres and after-death facilities.
This role requires you to:
- Work with stakeholders to prepare and seek funding approvals for building projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and propose innovative/cost effective solutions
- Engage consultants and contractors to deliver quality works and services
- Review design proposals and manage the projects to ensure they meet NEA’s objectives in the areas of quality, delivery, environmental sustainability, safety and public relations.
- Manage the procurement of construction services and administration of construction contracts
- Prepare progress updates, manage budget forecasts and track project expenditures
- Gather, identify and analyse project information for process improvement
What we are looking for

- Independent, resourceful and a good team player
- Organised, meticulous and able to multi-task
- Possess analytical, writing and good communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project scheduling software
- 2-3 years of relevant working experience in building/engineering design and project management with good knowledge of regulatory development process
- As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
