We are currently expanding our operations and are looking for suitable candidates to join our dynamic and fast-paced team.


About this role:

Spark education has a vacancy for a Teacher Training Executive/Specialist position in the teaching department. The successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting the teaching team with the management of teacher recruitment and induction of new teachers into the department. It is expected of the officer to have a strong experience of teaching Primary Mathematics and committed to providing high quality teacher training to new teachers. A flexible and supportive attitude is key to ensure that every area of the new teachers’ induction programme is delivered to the same consistent high standards for every new teacher’s intake.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Teaching Operations Specialist and Talent Acquisition Specialist to meet the demands of strong teaching talent pipelines for the department’s current and future hiring needs.
  • Coordinate with the Hiring Manager to determine the teacher selection criteria to ensure intake of high-quality candidates.
  • Interview and selection procedures, assessment and in-person interviews.
  • Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements.
  • Prepares, develops and evaluate training materials for training segments, adapting where necessary.
  • Manage all administration for new teachers training needs from planning and scheduling, coordinating trainers, photo-taking, setting up accounts to completing post-training administration and assessment.
  • Apply strategies to ensure teacher’s training objectives is achieved through a variety of assessment tools, including tests, projects, assignments and other evaluation instruments.
  • Takes a people-centred approach, providing teacher trainees with individual assistance and dealing promptly with any issues by liaising directly with the trainees, supervisor and other departments as required.
  • Provides input to training courses reviews and make recommendations based on consultations with trainees, colleagues and supervisors.
  • Develop an awareness of and respect for the customs and cultures of trainees, employers and colleagues.
  • Participate in internal projects aimed at improving processes and increasing knowledge-sharing to improve work efficiencies, quality and lowering operational cost.


We would love for you to have:

  • At least a Bachelors’ Degree in Education or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related field.
  • More than 1 year experience in the recruitment, training and induction of new teachers.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin for cross borders communication and reporting.
  • Meticulous and is able to perform prioritization of tasks.
  • Able to work independently in a functional role, as well as part of a collaborative team.
