Job Description & Requirements:
- Responsible to monitor and oversee the technical status of all designated vessels.
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of machineries.
- Ability to troubleshoot machineries faults/defects and rectify same.
- Coordinate with Class surveyors and Auditors to arrange Statutory & Class surveys/Audits to be carried out before expiry of the vessel’s certification.
- Follow up the onboard maintenance system, monitor the deficiencies and non-conformities from vetting inspections, port state control, audits and flag state inspections
- Controlling the vessels technical budget and to ensure the highest technical reliability.
- Carry out routine vessel inspections and technical auditing on a periodic basis.
- Carry out accident investigations when technical expertise and input is necessary.
- Preparing worklist for and monitoring scheduled vessels dry-docking.
- Advance planning to ensure dry dockings are effectively planned and efficiently executed
- Strive to improve all aspects of the safety performance of the operating vessels.
- Will require to travel overseas to attend to vessels when required.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Marine Engineering with a few years seagoing/relevant experience serving as at least Class 4 COC and/or 4th Engineer experience.
- Knowledge of ISM
- Good communication skills
- Remuneration packages will commensurate with experience
