Job Description

• Support the team lead and other research staff to implement a research project in the coastal environment.
• Responsible for project administrative tasks, including procurement and maintenance, permit applications, and scheduling of activities.
• Coordinate site clearance activities and assist key pilot on equipment setup to ensure safe and efficient UAV operations in the coastal environment.
• Develop and implement UAV operation frameworks tailored to the unique challenges of coastal areas to acquire highly-quality remote sensing data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate data into numerical modelling for coastal environments.
• Monitor project timelines and key performance indicators to ensure that project deliverables are accomplished on time and are of high quality.
• Prepare presentation slides and meeting minutes for all progress update meetings.
• Manage project budgets and prepare audit documents if required.
• Contribute to the production of high-quality research reports and publications.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or related discipline
• Preferably a few years of research experience in numerical modelling, and remote sensing in the coastal engineering domain.
• At least two years of experience in performing imagery data acquisition and field measurement related works with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
• At least two years experience in project management, including overseeing project timelines, deliverables and budgets.
• Proficiency in UAV operation frameworks, particularly in the coastal environment.
• Familiar with relevant regulations and safety protocols for UAV operations, including UAV permits application processing for operations in Singapore.
• Basic proficiency in image processing and geographical software (e.g, DJI Terra, ArcGIS).
• Open to fixed-term contract.
