Materials Manager

Bio-rad Laboratories (singapore) Pte Ltd

The Material Manager is responsible to lead, manage and develop Production Planning, Supply Assurance and Production Warehouse Team in Materials and Product for the manufacturing site to achieve lean, optimize and efficient operation aligning to the Global Supply Chain Goals and Initiatives. You are required to collaborates with other functions to ensure product & material availability to support the Manufacturing goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Develop Strategy, implement and abide policy encompassing Raw Materials Planning, Buying & Storing to support & optimize the lean manufacturing operations in meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Total lowest cost.
  • Liaise and collaborate to build supplier relationship and ensure manufacturing needs are met for mass production and NPI/Product Transfer.
  • Develop & Refine Planning, Buying & Storing Processes in achieving efficient safety lean operations. Establishing robust Supply Planning process with Production planning to achieve & improve Production and Purchasing activities leading to optimize inventory for manufacturing.
  • Support & comply to Bio-Rad’s Quality Policy, Quality Management System & Regulatory Compliance. Establish SOP to ensure compliance and sustainability to Material function and Ensure ERP system Data integrity with adherence to governance.
  • Lead, Coach & Manage Production Planning, Supply Assurance & Production Warehouse Team
  • Establish & Achieve Department KPI aligning to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Efficiency
  • Participate and ensure of the Site Safety for the people, goods and activities.
  • Provides direction and oversight for a Production Warehouse including end to end logistics management from receiving, kitting, shipping, cycle count management, optimal material flow, and SAP transactions.
  • Initiate and drive material cost reduction program to achieve Lowest Total Cost and Highest Quality.
  • Ensure compliance to Company policy and execute assigned task abiding to company initiatives.

What You Bring:

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
  • APICS CPIM certification is a plus
  • At least 10 years manufacturing production experience, working in production warehousing or production scheduling preferably in a regulated environment.
  • 5 or more years of production planning and scheduling experience.
  • At least 8 years people management experience/ lead a team.
  • SAP Hanna 4 Knowledge and Usage, Lean Methodology,
  • Supply chain knowledge & Strategy development, execution and refinement.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, communication and coaching skills.
  • Proven project Management & Leadership capability.
