Job Description:
We are seeking for a skilled and experienced Taekwondo Coach with Athletics Credential to lead our team of dedicated competition students and mentor coaches. The ideal candidate will need to have a passion for Taekwondo and a proven track record of success in competitive environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with talented individuals and guide them to success in Taekwondo competitions, while also leveraging your expertise in athletics to enhance their overall performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs for students preparing for Taekwondo competitions.
- Provide personalized coaching and feedback to students to improve their skills, techniques, and performance.
- Plan and organise training sessions, including drills and conditioning exercises.
- Develop strategies to optimise student chances of success in competitions.
- Monitor students progress and adjust training plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- Attend Taekwondo competitions with athletes, providing guidance, support, and encouragement during competitions.
- Train and mentor other coaches in the team to enhance their techniques, coaching skills to better teach the students and contribute to the overall success of the school.
Requirements:
- Minimum World Taekwondo Black Belt 3rd Dan
- Degree with a major in sport science, physical education, sports management/administration or similar qualification in Taekwondo
- Proven outstanding Poomsae technical skills and ability to continue to demonstrate and teach these technical skills
- National/International medalist or equivalent desired
- Proven records of achievement at regional/international championships and major Games preferred
- Minimum 5 years of international coaching or competing experience desired
