We are an established Importer/Wholesaler of foodstuff and is currently seeking for interested candidates to join us as a Purchasing & Logistics Assistant.
Job-Scope
- Generate Purchase Orders to suppliers, tracking order status closely until order is fulfilled.
- Verify supplier invoices including product specifications, pricing, currency, etc; to ensure accuracy.
- Liaise with local & overseas suppliers on all aspects of purchasing, discrepancies, negotiation, payment issues, etc.
- Update import shipment arrival schedule for internal information sharing.
- Handle overseas orders’ import logistics documentations and liaise closely with haulier/carrier/insurance agents on import/export container matters.
- Liaise with SFA office on food testing requirements
- Keep proper filing of all documentations
Pre-Requisites
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Skype and WeChat
- Singaporeans or Singapore PRs only
- Willing to learn new job task
- Can start work immediately will be an advantage
- Possess minimum GCE’O’ Level with a minimum of 2 year of related experience
- Able to communicate well in English and Mandarin to liaise with English & Chinese speaking counterparts.
- Mature, self-motivated, and persevering
- Demonstrates a strong sense of initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team player with a positive attitude
- Able to multi-task, meticulous, fast worker, and work under pressure
- 5 day week
- Transport provided at designated pick-up points (Hougang, AMK, Bishan)
