We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join Mott MacDonald Singapore.


Sector Support

  • Support the Asia Unit in developing commercial, contract management, and project management acumen across the sectors.

Project Delivery

  • Project, Commercial & Contract Management oversight on key projects to support Project Directors to make sure they are delivered on time and on budget in line with Mott MacDonald’s commercial and financial requirements, while ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Provide Contractual & Commercial leadership on projects from Win stages through to completion.
  • Responsible for ensuring that contracts comply with Group directives and corporate governance.
  • Full compliance with the MM internal STEP management system.
  • Assist major project delivery in Win, DO and Delivery stages.
  • Assist major project delivery in defining winning value proposition.
  • Monitor project expenditure and performance relative to budget and schedule and provide monthly estimated cost to complete forecast-based accurate earned value assessments.
  • Ensure the timely identification of variations and the robust management of the variations through the contract.

Client relations & Liaison

  • Represent the company at commercial meetings, maintain flow of timely information to the Client with respect to all matters that relate to commercial performance, change management & claims.
  • Work in tandem with major project delivery teams to obtain agreement in variations.
  • Justify and obtain formal agreement of unavoidable delays to minimise or negate risk of penalties for clause claims.
  • Upon project completion ensure all final accounts are closed and the internal management reporting suite is successfully brought to a fully auditable closure.
  • Active account leadership

About You:

  • Degree level or equivalent in a relevant background and field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the consulting industry within a commercial management background and mindset.
  • Professional Membership (or working towards professional membership) with an applicable professional organisation
  • Good knowledge and application of commercial management methodologies.
  • Ability to operate both autonomously and as part of a larger team
  • Flexibility to travel and work in different sectors and clients
  • Good research and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organisation skills
  • Essential Soft skills include, leadership, flexibility, self-motivation, effective listening, persuasion, creativity, collaborative style, insightfulness
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft applications
  • Working knowledge of commercial management software and tools
