Your new role
The Fund Management & Investment IT Business Partner is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between the Fund Management and Investment teams and the IT department. This role involves understanding the business needs and objectives of the Fund Management and Investment teams and collaborating with the IT department to develop and implement technology solutions that support these goals.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Fund Management and Investment teams, understanding their business processes, needs, and challenges.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise technology initiatives that align with the strategic objectives of the Fund Management and Investment teams.
- Work closely with the IT department to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure the timely and successful delivery of technology solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business users, IT teams, and external vendors to effectively manage and deliver technology projects.
- Provide guidance and support to business users on the effective use of existing technology platforms and tools.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of technology solutions, identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancements or upgrades as needed.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in fund management and investment to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure the security, availability, and integrity of fund management and investment systems and data.
- Assist in the development and execution of training programs to enhance the technology skills and knowledge of business users.
- Participate in regular meetings and presentations to provide updates on technology projects and initiatives for senior management.
- Responsible for end-to-end Service Strategic Management
- Recommend new strategic decisions (e.g., overall service goals, digital transformation plans, etc.)
- Provide inputs/reviews on IT strategy, svc. portfolio demand & finance mgmt. for platform specific apps, supported by IT
- Lead the strategising of BP-managed innovations and the overall management of the platform’s customer relationships
- Approve newly identified service requirements arising from business/ platform needs & goals
- Drive service design activities while providing platform specific insights
- Agree on platform specific services listed in the service catalogue
- Provide platform specific inputs for designing of the svc. catalogue, svcs. for continuity and ITSCM training & testing
- Oversee management of Platform’s capacity and performance needs
- Provide platform specific information (inputs & review) during implementation of Enterprise & Platform specific apps. for a few L3 processes
- Provide business inputs for specific applications and major incident handling, largely supported by CoE and SSC
- Ensure service failures (incidents) are communicated to affected users within the Platforms
- Assess and authorize the Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
- Participate in research and analysis to recommend new services / solutions post-evaluation
- Agree on the service review scope for processes relevant to the platform
- Provide platform specific inputs for scope of service review
- Govern and oversee IT compliance for all Platform-specific technology initiatives
