Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring smooth and safe operations of the facility, including the steam system and its auxiliary operations.
- Monitor the plant's operating status by observing control system parameters, BMS, and distributed control systems, ensuring the steam system and auxiliary operations are functioning optimally.
- Conduct regular field inspections of plant, stations, or subsystems and equipment to maintain normal and safe operating conditions.
- Lead and supervise boiler and plant operators in operating treatment processes according to process parameters and complying with emission limits.
- Identify areas for plant optimization and support the implementation of approved tasks as directed by the site manager.
- Develop, propose, and implement Standard Operating Procedures for plant operations and regular maintenance in collaboration with the operations and maintenance team.
- Analyze, interpret, and report on steam operations data and plant performance periodically and in a timely manner.
- Manage plant process upsets and equipment malfunctions to ensure minimal disruptions to operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of equipment to ensure safety and efficient operation.
- Maintain logs of maintenance activities and repair procedures in the CMMS to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
- Perform facility inspections for hazards such as leaks, corrosion, or exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Monitor steam pressure and temperature levels to maintain safe operating conditions.
- Collaborate with management to suggest improvements in process efficiency or cost reduction strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Act regulations.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the site manager.
Requirements:
- Registered as a Class 1 or 2 Steam Engineer / Boiler Attendant Class 1 or 2 with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
- Proficient in FMEA, HAZOP, and Job Hazard Analysis methodologies
- Possesses excellent interpersonal, management, and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrates strong innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- An additional advantage would be holding a registered First-Aider Certification
- Exhibits a strong safety mindset and consistently displays good Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) behavior
- Unavailable for pre-planned vacations or absences from May 2024 to August 2024
