Job Description:
- Conduct reviews and/or updates on Materials Suitability Reviews and Equipment Strategies to ensure equipment reliability.
- Review ITP, WPS, PQR, WQT, IMIR, Quality manuals and preparation of job packs, QA/QC documents relevant to plant etc.,
- Plan and keep track on SI Equipment/SRV and critical valves schedule inspection and follow the regulatory requirements.
- Plan and carry out Static equipment and piping inspection, on stream inspection, risk-based monitoring programs, base line inspection program and Total flange management QC master.
- Monitor and report on inspection program findings and recommend appropriate solutions for corrosion issues as short term and long term, to ensure safe and reliable operation of equipment.
- Investigate equipment failure and recommend cost-effective methods of repair and material selections. Capable of analysing metallurgical failures in materials.
- Develop and update piping and equipment history records for reliability study. and Maintain effective Inspection Data Management system and filing system, including periodic updates.
- Provide quality assurance on project construction and maintenance works to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- To contribute and assist to clear the project punch list and related QA/QC documents.
- Stewardship in preparing Inspection procedures/documents and Total Flange Management work process.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university, preferably with at least 5-10 engineering /Maintenance/Project field experience in the chemical, rubber, oil and gas, or petrochemical plants.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Familiarity with major API codes 510, 570, 576, 579, 580/581, 650 and 653. • ASME Sections VIII and IX, ASME B31.3 Especially for pressure vessel, piping and tankage will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as MS Office, SAP etc.
- Knowledge and Qualified Non-Destructive Testing: UT, RT, MT, PT.
- Knowledge of materials selection, Non-Destructive Examination techniques, welding, and risk-based inspection procedures, would be an advantage.
- Independent, adaptable and takes well to challenges.
- Team player with strong drive to deliver against commitments.
- Work Experience in Projects.
- Good knowledge in analysing the HSSE requirements.
