About the role
- The application analyst position will be managing both AS400 and Wintel Gaming application running in the organization.
- The candidate will be a level 2 support personnel, managing the relationship between business stakeholders, internal IT, auditors and vendors to resolve/address/clarify application issues and/or functionality challenges to resume business operation as soon and as smooth as possible.
- The candidate will be the subject matter expert that understands the business operation and application functionalities to value-add/resolve user's issue/inquiries.
- The canditate will be managing small to medium scale project to remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities, application bug fix, minor application enhanacement to improve application performance/security/operation workflow in the organization
- Front incoming incident tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues
- Provide incident resolution management and root cause analysis techniques to determine cause and resolve complex system issues.
- Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
- Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
- Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.
- Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
- Record, track, and document the incident-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent the field of computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
- SQL Knowledge is required and mandatory
- Experience in iSeries development and support using RPG, RPGLE, CL and CLLE
- 5+ years work experience in application support or equivalent using problem resolution and root cause analysis techniques. In depth knowledge of Wintel application and troubleshooting methods.
- Software development/ programming skills in ASP.NET, VB.NET, VB6, Javascript, HTML5, Json, Batch scripting, XML, .NET Framework 3.5 and above, Java.
- Experience with setup, managing and troubleshooting IIS web services and Windows services is a MUST.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve issues.
- Able to analyse the requirements and propose the suitable solution for the business needs.
- Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
