Responsible for full spectrum of purchasing functions.
Job Description
- Source and obtain competitive quotations for materials
- Execute orders according to purchasing guidelines
- Expedite orders and monitor delivery status
- Communicate with superintendents for matters relating to requisitions
- Negotiate term contracts/fixed price agreements/credit terms with suppliers
- Involve in vendor management activities (New vendor pre-qualification, vendor site audit and annual evaluation etc)
- Any other task assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management or relevant equivalent with 3 years of experience in purchasing role
- Purchasing experience in shipowner or ship management
- Resourceful with good knowledge of marine suppliers
- Good negotiation skill and knowledge in vendor management
- Knowledge in Mariapps ERP experience will be an added advantage
