The Event Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all logistical and operational aspects of events, including venue setup, vendor coordination, and staff management. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning and execution, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Contract Duration: 6 months contract possible extend or convert to perm.
Location: Kallang
Salary up to $6,000
Responsibility:
- Plan and coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and scheduling
- Work closely with event planners, vendors, and clients to ensure all event requirements are met and expectations are exceeded
- Manage event staff and volunteers, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring they are organized and presentable
- Monitor and evaluate event operations to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and guidelines
- Serve as the main point of contact for all event-related inquiries and issues
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in event planning
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in event operations or management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of event industry trends and best practices
