- Review technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and standard pertaining to the project requirements.
- Prepare and review the project quality documents, NDT plan and procedure, ITP.
- Review drawings, documents & weekly updated drawing register from document controller and distribute to project QA personnel.
- Administrate the project internal quality audit to ensure compliance with the project quality plan.
- Monitor the inspection and documentation activities of QA Inspector to ensure complain with inspection & test plan and project quality requirements.
- Liaise with Owner and class pertaining to quality related issues and technical and technical calibrations and queries.
- Handle and resolve quality related issues arising from sub‐contractor and in‐house production.
- Check and ensure extant of NDT is covered as per NDT plan.
- Preparation and submission of Manufacturer Data Boot (MDB) to owner and classification society.
- Review and monitor cutting plan, weld maps, material verification reports, inspection reports, NDT Reports, Weld Traceability Records, and final DC Reports.
- Ensure material preservation, handling, traceability. Review ITP, WPS, PQR, PWHT and Vender documents,
- Review welding, NDT, and other equipment’s calibration pertaining to the project requirements.
- Well conversant with codes & standards like ASME, API, ANSI, AWS, IACS, ABS, NR etc. Assign the systems to be tested to the various supervisors and technicians involved in the operation.
- Review the Quality work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Coordinate with all sections for Inspection & testing requirements.
- Coordinate the testing/ commissioning requirements with Engineering, Project Manager, QA Department, and vendors.
- Report and non‐conformance and issue Improvement note, where necessary. Ensure timely completion of project.
- Ensure all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree In Mechanical/Metallurgy/Marine Engineering Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience, 5 years in marine construction and installations.
- Certifications: AWS CWI/SCWI ASNT/PCN Level II in Visual Examination (VT) Liquid Penetrant (PT) Magnetic Particles (MT) Radiography (RT) Ultrasound (UT)
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead auditor
