Role and Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of critical IT systems. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual who can manage complex projects and ensure system uptime and performance.
- Provisioning, Installation, and Configuration:
- Servers (Windows Server 2012/2016/2019)
- Virtualization environments (VMware & vCenter)
- System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Proactively monitor system health and performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot system issues.
- Implement system improvements and optimizations.
- Perform regular patching and maintenance activities.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work effectively with internal teams to resolve complex issues.
- Document procedures and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Provide on-call support with a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Level 2 engineer with expertise in:
- Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 administration
- VMware & vCenter configuration and management
- Server monitoring tools and techniques
- Patching and update procedures
- VM provisioning and management
- Bug fixing and troubleshooting methodologies
- Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience in data center operations supporting Windows and network technologies (a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Availability to work a 12-hour shift schedule.
