We are seeking a qualified Electrical Supervisor to oversee the successful implementation of electrical works on-site. This role is critical in ensuring project quality, adherence to deadlines, and a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of on-site electrical work, including task delegation, quality control, and schedule coordination.
- Provide hands-on guidance and technical support to electrical teams throughout the project lifecycle (execution, meetings, testing/commissioning, handover).
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues related to project progress, subcontractor work, and overall quality.
- Lead and train electrical personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain a strong focus on Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance for all supervised personnel and areas.
Key Duties:
- Report to the Electrical Engineer for technical guidance.
- Verify materials and equipment upon delivery.
- Ensure installations adhere to approved specifications, drawings, and space management plans.
- Collaborate with contractors to resolve coordination challenges and proactively communicate potential design impacts to engineering teams.
- Implement quality control measures aligned with project specifications.
- Oversee adherence to method statements and risk assessments.
- Enforce project safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and address schedule or manpower concerns, including evaluations of subcontractor performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Foster effective communication with all stakeholders, including construction management, quality assurance teams, discipline supervisors, engineers, safety personnel, client representatives, and subcontractor foremen.
- Coordinate mock-up locations and details, collaborating with the System Engineer to obtain approvals.
- Prepare and submit Test Packs for System Engineer review prior to testing.
- Witness and approve subcontractor pressure testing.
- Ensure equipment and systems are pre-tested and complete before designated deadlines.
- Assist the System Engineer with equipment start-up, trial runs, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Witness and accept system balancing.
- Implement punch-list procedures to ensure project completion according to standards.
- Support the System Engineer during client inspections.
- Possess a thorough understanding of subcontractor scopes and drawings.
Qualifications:
- "O" Level, Higher Secondary, Pre-University/A Level, College Diploma, Professional Certificate, or NiTEC in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret Single Line Diagram drawings.
- Trade Foreman qualification.
- Building Construction Safety Specialist (BCSS) certification is mandatory; additional construction certificates (lifting supervisor, confined space) are preferred.
