Role Overview


Talenta Consultants is looking for a Business Development Manager to be based in Singapore.


As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth for both contract and permanent recruitment business through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing client relationships. You will play a crucial role in identifying and pursuing business opportunities for the recruitment business, fostering partnerships and achieving revenue targets.


You are responsible for finding potential employers/ clients and you will create business development strategies and work with clients from the sourcing stage up until the ideal candidate is hired. You will meet and exceed KPIs and revenue targets, have an active client-facing role, create and manage recruitment opportunities, and are responsible for the full recruitment life cycle.


You have the skills of salespeople and headhunters. You possess sound judgement and communication aptitude. If you also have strong ethics and a collaborative spirit, we want to meet you. To be successful, you will have to understand the technical depth of the industry and the company to become and effective talent partner.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients within targeted industry sectors to expand the company's client base. This includes researching prospective clients and stakeholders in Talent Acquisition and/or HR, cold calling, initiating contact and presenting our services effectively.
  2. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their recruitment needs, providing tailored solutions and delivering exceptional customer service. Ensure client satisfaction and retention through regular communication and proactive account management.
  3. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify opportunities for business expansion and improvement.
  4. Sales and Negotiation: Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals and pitches to potential clients. Negotiate terms and conditions to maximise profitability while meeting client expectations.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including recruiters and account managers, to align business development efforts with recruitment strategies and client requirements. Collaborate effectively to ensure seamless delivery of services and optimize client satisfaction.
  6. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and client needs to identify emerging opportunities and potential areas for business growth. Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
  7. Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business development efforts using CRM software. Generate regular reports and forecasts to track progress against targets and provide insights for strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in recruitment agency preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a strong team player.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
