Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our team, specializing in Quality Control and Assembly within the VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breaker) and SWG (Switchgear) division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming goods, conducting tests on VCB units and 20GC GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) Panels, performing assembly tasks, and maintaining calibration control for tools and machines in compliance with ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming Quality Control (QC) procedures for VCB department and SWG division, including thorough inspection and documentation of incoming goods.
- Implement reject control processes for non-conforming products, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Conduct testing and evaluation of VCB units and 20GC GIS Panels to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
- Perform outgoing QC procedures for VCB units and 20GC GIS Panels, ensuring that all products meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
- Maintain calibration control for tools and machinery used in production processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability in accordance with ISO standards.
- Undertake assembly work for VCB units and 20GC GIS Panels, following assembly instructions and blueprints with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve quality processes.
- Provide technical support and expertise to colleagues and other departments as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate in Nitech/ Higher Nitec, Diploma or Degree holder in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Previous experience in Quality Control and Assembly, preferably in the electrical engineering or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of QC processes, testing methodologies, and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools for QC and calibration purposes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with electrical testing and inspection procedures.
