Assistant Engineer - Quality Assurance

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out periodical process audit to ensure system is in place
  • Monitor part critical parameters with statistical process control techniques
  • Work with Production to resolve day to day internal quality issues
  • Conduct training for inspectors on new parts inspection & measurement
  • Assist QA Engineer in quality control activities including but not limited to quality performance report preparation, generate Inspection documents & data compilation
  • Work with internal corrective action team to resolve customer complaint within a stipulated timeframe
  • Read and interpret geometrical drawings
  • To develop measuring method and jigs/fixture during product development stage
  • Conduct MSA (GR&R) on equipment and user for assessing measurement system
  • Supervise and train QA Technicians
  • Any other duties as and when assigned
  • Take reasonable care of workplace health and safety; abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Quality Management/ Quality Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering and/or any Engineering related field
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in QA function, preferably in plastic injection molding company
  • Familiar with production process
  • Good in statistical techniques such as SPC, CPK, GR&R
  • Proficient MS Office application (Words, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Able to relate and communicate to internal and external customers
