Position Description
Job title: Inventory Officer
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Purpose of the position
The Inventory Officer’s key responsibilities are to ensure 100% accuracy of the inventory in the warehouse through daily balance and checks, and to maintain the flow of operations through efficient layout and clear marking of product lot codes. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the below list.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory items, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect items for quality and quantity.
- Ensure Stock accuracy.
- Monitor and arrange stock to assist with efficient pick flow patterns.
- Ensure lot numbers are clearly marked and rotated in line with warehouse requirements
- Daily cycle counts, inclusive of lot number health checks.
- Daily brand and SKU organisation accuracy checks
- Monitor stock movement and conduct stock counts to reconcile discrepancies.
- Work with the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor to ensure brand and SKU alignment.
- Keep track of inventory movement and allocation of bin spaces for storing goods
- Recommended inventory adjustment
- Mapping of inventory lot numbers against ERP system count
- Inventory health check – send weekly alerts to sales team and warehouse when products fall below a specific expiry threshold.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff, such as supervisors and logistics personnel, to ensure smooth coordination of inventory-related activities.
- Any Ad Hoc duties required or requested by the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in inventory management
