Aicadium is seeking a highly motivated Operations Engineer to join our IT Operations team. As an Operations Engineer, you will spend 4-5 days a week in our office, playing a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, infrastructure, and processes. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our employees and products and help deliver exceptional solutions to our clients.
Objectives of this role
- Assist with IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding
- Monitor and respond to incoming support requests and tickets
- Maintain inventory management system and device assignment & provisioning
- Maintain an office presence and assist with office-related IT tasks
- Manage access and first-level technical support for our hardware lab
- Develop and maintain documentation for operational procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Implement automation and monitoring tools to enhance operational efficiency and proactively detect anomalies or potential problems.
- Conduct regular audits of infrastructure and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in operations, infrastructure, and tools, and recommend improvements to enhance our capabilities.
Required skills and qualifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach to enhance operational processes and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve operational problems.
- Familiarity with Apple ecosystem (MacOS, IOS, Apple hardware, and devices)
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
- Familiarity with scripting languages, infrastructure-as-code, or automation tools
- Familiarity with ITSM best practices or experience in a formalized operations environment
- Experience with end-user compute management tools (MDM, UBA, Security/Policy management, etc)
