- Demonstrate strong experience across all types of corporate action events, particularly focusing on voluntary corporate actions events such as Rights subscription, Dutch Auction, Buy Back, Tender, etc., for Wealth Management customers.
- Identify, organize, prioritize, and supervise transaction volumes, workloads, and forecast/deploy staffing resources as required.
- Ensure accurate interpretation of information pertaining to mandatory and voluntary corporate actions received from various sources, including Securities Depositories, Transfer Agents, and Sub-custodians.
- Possess a good understanding of Reorg events and efficiently handle reorg reports, processing them in a timely manner.
- Track corporate action notifications on mandatory/voluntary/choice events received from various sources such as SWIFT, email, PDF, etc., and keep the internal system up to date.
- Extract critical information from event details received from electronic/non-electronic formats and accurately gather it into the internal systems.
- Manage the election process of voluntary corporate action events by collating client-provided elections and compiling instructions to be sent to agents/custodians, ensuring receipt confirmation.
- Ensure and maintain accuracy and timeliness in processing end-to-end corporate action events.
- Manage large volumes efficiently and escalate any issues to management/onshore teams promptly.
- Identify exceptions arising from daily business as usual (BAU) and provide timely resolutions by highlighting them to the onshore team, updating the SOP document post-approval.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and Turnaround Time (TAT) as per Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
- Adhere to overall Service Delivery Requirements and identify opportunities to improve processing efficiency and/or reduce risk.
Technical Skills:
- Possess strong corporate action knowledge, with knowledge of the APAC market considered a plus.
- Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and navigating complex situations.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (spoken & written).
- Possess good leadership skills necessary for assisting with staff management to ensure day-to-day efficiency and control of corporate actions processing.
- Demonstrated ability to work under considerable pressure, meeting stringent processing deadlines, handling unexpected volumes (emails/events), and mitigating the risk of significant financial loss related to processing errors.
