Key Responsibilities:
This Senior Executive/Manager position in Business & Sales encompasses four key responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and develop new business opportunities.
- Assist in setting up and organizing new businesses or organizations to support new ventures.
- Provide sales and technical support for new business initiatives, focusing on achieving sales and gross profit targets.
- Drive sales volume and develop new accounts for assigned products within the MMS BU.
The role aims to achieve agreed sales targets measured by:
- A number of successfully acquired/developed new businesses.
- Order intakes in terms of units and dollar sales.
- Revenue generated from units and dollar sales.
Job Descriptions:
New Product Development:
- Conduct market surveys to identify new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with vendors (manufacturers).
- Assist management in developing business proposals to secure distributorship.
- Oversee business/organization set-up for approved proposals and collaborate with subsidiaries on marketing new products/services.
Sales Role:
- Identify and meet potential/existing customers to explore sales opportunities.
- Visit job sites to understand customer requirements and propose solutions.
- Prepare quotations and deliver product/application presentations to customers.
- Maintain accurate sales activity records in the company CRM.
- Conduct monthly sales reviews and submit performance reports.
- Monitor market share and competitor activities to take necessary actions.
- Conduct marketing activities to promote and enhance product brand and image through trade shows, advertisements, direct mailings, sales seminars, etc.
Subsidiaries Sales Support/Marketing Role:
- Collaborate closely with subsidiaries’ sales teams to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Ensure subsidiaries have effective sales management systems in place.
- Provide training on product and application knowledge to subsidiaries' sales teams.
- Conduct joint visits with subsidiaries to review business development and sales progress.
- Share market insights and observations to develop action plans for customer engagement and sales promotion.
Job Requirements:
- Independent professional with commitment and passion.
- Proactive with strong initiative and a sense of urgency to achieve high-quality results.
- Preferably with a technical background.
- Willingness to travel (10-20% of time) and work extended hours when required.
- Good presentation skills and openness to continuous learning.
- Team player with honesty and high integrity.
- 3-5 years of selling and marketing experience preferred.
- Business development experience is beneficial but not mandatory; character and willingness to learn are essential.
