Finance Associate

Tribe is looking for a highly-driven and motivated Finance Associate to manage Tribe Group’s Financial Operations and Reporting . About You:

  • Degree in Accountancy with CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of audit experience in one of the Big 4 Audit Firms or accounting commercial experience is a plus point!
  • Strong technical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, having good oral and written communication skills and be analytical, independent, and proactive

Responsibilities:

  • Reports functionally to Head of Finance
  • Ensure that the monthly accounts and periodic management reports are prepared accurately and submitted on a timely basis
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated financial reports
  • Bank reconciliations, Invoicing and Payment administration
  • Maintain full set of accounts including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions which includes all account reconciliations
  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements in XBRL format for filing
  • Liaise and build positive working relationship with external consultants, auditors, tax agent and bankers
  • Preparation of submission of documents for Agreed-Upon Procedure(AUP) Audit
  • Assisting of the preparation of budget and forecasting analysis
  • General administration tasks and other ad-hoc projects as assigned

What you will learn:

  • Ensure quarterly GST submission is accurate and submitted on timely basis
  • Manage company cash flow and proactively monitor credit and exchange risks
  • Work closely with professional firms to review and ensure the companies’ compliance towards statutory requirements, including direct and indirect taxes, transfer price, accounting standards, company’s act, etc
  • Proactively monitor, assess, report and ensure effective controls over financial and business risk
  • Work closely with front line business managers and provide technical expertise on financial and commercial matters
  • Coordinate annual budgeting/ quarterly forecast exercise together with various department heads
  • Preparation of year-end tax schedules for income tax reporting

Technical Experience

  • Proficient in G Suite products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Netsuite, Xero and Quickbooks is a plus
