Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, generating financial reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with senior members of the FP&A team, as well as department heads to support financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, has strong quantitative skills, and is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
· Assist in gathering, preparing and analyzing financial data to assess the company's financial performance.
· Prepare financial reports, including budget vs. actuals analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Support the preparation of monthly management reports and financial presentations.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
· Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts under the guidance of FP&A manager.
· Help maintain and update financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
· Assist in preparing and reviewing budget proposals and providing analysis to support decision-making.
3. Financial Modeling and Analysis:
· Learn to build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
· Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare reports to support management decision-making.
· Assist in conducting research and analysis to evaluate industry trends and competitor performance.
4. Data Management and Integrity:
· Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by performing data validation and reconciliation.
· Support efforts to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
5. Collaboration and Support:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and support financial analysis projects.
· Provide support on various financial projects and initiatives.
· Assist in preparing materials for meetings and presentations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
· 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field (Financial Accounting experience may be considered).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
· Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Knowledge of financial principles, accounting concepts, and financial statement analysis is a plus.
