Roles/Responsibilities
- Provide a range of Consultant Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to completion
- Preparation of pre-contract cost estimates, cost plans, budgetary study and project cash-flow
- Measurement (taking off quantities) for all structural and architectural elements
- Preparation of tender and contract documentation
- Tendering process and tender evaluation
- Post-contract administration and management such as valuation of progress payment, review of variation request order, variation assessment, financial review reports
- Finalization of project final accounts
- Attendance at project and site meeting
Requirements
- Recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying or equivalent from recognized universities
- Minimum of 2 years (for Junior QS) and 4 years (for QS) of QS relevant working experience with both private and public sector clients and preferably with knowledge of SIA and PSSCOC forms of contract.
- Work experience gained from consultancy firm will be an advantage
- Good technical knowledge for measurement, cost estimating and construction technology
- Understand and familiar with professional practice and contract administration processes
- Able to work as a team player and multi-task on few on-going projects/ assignments
- Resourceful, independent, responsible and able to work in a challenging and fast paced environment
