1. JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible for the financial delivery, governance and business partnering of the dnata Ground Handling and Cargo business in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Managing Director dnata Singapore, with a ‘dotted line’ to the dnata Regional CFO – Asia Pacific, the FD will assist the MD and leadership team with the development of the commercial and operational strategy to achieve the organization’s long-term vision of becoming the world’s most admired air service provider.
2. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS
- Delivery of Singapore profit and cash to group targets
- Financial reporting accountability in Singapore, including group submissions, statutory and tax
- Liquidity and working capital management in Singapore, inclusive of cash flow forecasting plus coordinating funding requirements.
- In conjunction with the Regional CFO APAC, establishes and maintains a financing strategy for dnata Singapore to successfully master the current and future cash, investment and development requirements of the company including financing dnata’s green sustainability approach
- Responsible for leading the forecast, budget and audit processes /engagements in Singapore
- Partner with the local business leadership, providing strategic recommendations on all aspects of the business including commercial, operations and support functions
- Finance support to Regional CFO APAC on M&A in Singapore, including end to end transaction management, valuation and business case preparation, due diligence, contracting/completion and integration
- Implementation and maintenance of financial controls in line with the regional governance framework to protect shareholder value
- Leadership and development of wider Singapore finance team, including partnering the Regional CFO APAC in talent management and succession planning
- Leadership and development of Singapore Procurement & I.T Teams
- Implements and drives process change and automation, identifying technologies and policies to ensure effective business management
- Responsible for building relationships with dnata and Emirates group functions in Dubai, including treasury, audit, commercial and finance acting as the link to the regional and global finance peers within the dnata group
- Responsible for cultivation of professional relationships with Singapore banking partners, suppliers, audit companies and governmental bodies

3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Qualifications
Current membership of relevant professional accounting body and advanced degree in accountancy or finance
Experience
- Proven track record of exceptional performance and delivery 8+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation
- Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of financial Singapore law incl. tax and best practice
- Advanced in the use of MS Office applications and financial systems
- P&L ownership of a complex, multi-site business
- Aviation and logistics experience preferred but not a pre-requisite

- Deputise for the MD Singapore to RCEO / RCFO Asia-Pacific regarding Singapore business and towards other APAC or dAO stakeholders as required
- Responsibilities may include acting as a Company secretary at board meetings of dnata Singapore

- Spoken and written fluency in English is mandatory; spoken and written fluency in another Asian language (as a second language) would be an advantage
