Commercial Officer (Estimating and Invoicing)
Working Days: 5.5 Day A week
Working hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm | Sat 8:00am-12:00pm
Working Location: Pandan Road
Salary: $5000 (depends experience)
Company transport provided in the morning
Overview
Plays a key role in the Commercial Department by receiving enquiries from clients, working closely with Production & Subcontractor on preparing a proposal in an accurate and timely manner, and working closely with clients to follow up on the status of our bids.
Key point of contact with external clients, as well as internal stakeholders – Production, Purchasing, Finance – during the project life cycle. Performs the key role of capturing all the planned and additional works and billing clients in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Understand and evaluate vessel repair / docking specification.
- Preparation and timely submission of quotation for Ship Repair, Conversion and Retrofit Projects on the basis of manhours, materials and subcontractor costing prior to award of contract.
- Liaise with equipment vendor / subcontractor for accurate quote.
- Attend vessel inspection (If required)
- Attend VSCC meeting and progress meeting on board vessel.
- Inspection of additional works with trades / SRM / subcontractor / Owner .
- Submit and agree prices for all additional works, based on manhours, materials and subcontractor, before commencement of work.
- Prepare part payment invoice and follow up with remittance.
- Negotiation and settlement of final repair invoice with Owner / Tech Supt
Requirement:
- Minimum (3) years working experience in the field of ship repairs.
- Diploma / Engineering in Marine, Mechanical, Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering
- Possess understanding of Estimation and Costing for Repairs and Conversion projects
