Beach House Pictures is seeking experienced Shooting Producers or DV Directors to join our dynamic team. If you’re interested in the role, you will need to have a strong understanding of storytelling, the ability to capture a visually captivating sequence independently and possess impeccable production coordination skills. Your primary job responsibility is to shoot high-quality footage on one of our Sony FS or FX cameras, manage basic sound requirements on location, and work closely with our Series Producers or Creative Leads to write the documentary treatment and scripts. Your role will also include assisting our technical supervisor with the upkeep of inhouse camera gear.
Your ability to develop and write new documentary ideas and concepts is a plus, as you may also work closely with production executives and creative directors to produce new content in the factual space for a wide spectrum of clients ranging from networks and commissioners to distributors and brands.
We are open to training and mentoring candidates who have a desire to grow and hone your skills, but basic understanding of documentary filmmaking is a must.
Weekend work may be required, and if you are a qualified Class 3 driver, you will be expected to share driving duties with our other team members.
Responsibilities
- Shoot and produce content featuring talent, high-profile contributors, and sponsors.
- Write shooting scripts and present plans to Production Executives.
- Edit footage/rushes using Adobe Premiere Pro
- Formulate and adhere to detailed schedules for multiple deliverables.
- Organise and manage production logistics.
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth production processes.
- Create Presentation decks, Storyboards with Microsoft PowerPoint
Requirements:
- Self-motivated and Passionate to grow and learn.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.
- Well versed with Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with handling and operating a video camera (Minimally the Sony FX or A7 camera range, but not limited to).
- Knowledge on basic sound recording.
- Confident writer.
- Comfortable dealing with high-profile contributors.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to work weekends when necessary.
- At least 3 years in the media industry
