Mechanical Supervisor

Job desciption:

  • Responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment on a construction site.
  • Manage the mechanical team on the construction site and provide direction and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to the construction plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with other trades and contractors on the site to ensure that mechanical systems are installed and integrated corretly.
  • Monitor the work of subcontractors and ensure that they meet the project standards and timelines.
  • Review design and contruction plans to identify potential issues and provide solutions.
  • Ensure that all mechanical equipment and systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to the construction schedule.
  • Keep accurate records of work progress, including daily logs, job reports, and equipment inventory.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment on the contruction site.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards.

Job requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred, although equipvalent experience may be acceptable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry, with specific experience in mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems.
  • Experience reading and interpreting design and construction plan and specifications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures on construction sites.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve project objectives.
  • Strong communcation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and technical staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
