Job desciption:
- Responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment on a construction site.
- Manage the mechanical team on the construction site and provide direction and guidance as needed.
- Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to the construction plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with other trades and contractors on the site to ensure that mechanical systems are installed and integrated corretly.
- Monitor the work of subcontractors and ensure that they meet the project standards and timelines.
- Review design and contruction plans to identify potential issues and provide solutions.
- Ensure that all mechanical equipment and systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to the construction schedule.
- Keep accurate records of work progress, including daily logs, job reports, and equipment inventory.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment on the contruction site.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
Job requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred, although equipvalent experience may be acceptable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry, with specific experience in mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems.
- Experience reading and interpreting design and construction plan and specifications.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures on construction sites.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve project objectives.
- Strong communcation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and technical staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
