Responsibilities
- Oversee the multi-disciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists
- Responsible for the compliance of all therapist standards as stipulated by Ministry of Health and Allied Healthcare Professional Council
- Guide new staff; conducts orientation programmes; supervise and facilitate staff development.
- Plan and conduct in-house training, including the latest rehab therapy Techniques and implement new techniques or procedures where appropriate.
- Plan and coordinate for the procurement of other therapy services to meet the rehabilitative service of the residents.
- Identify and implement new programmes for the residents and special projects to meet any service gaps.
- Analyse trends and changing needs of the residents in institutional settings. Plan rehab services and care based on changing trends. ·Operationalise and monitor the smooth transition of the residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community, where possible.
- Ensure service quality standard and cost-effective service are maintained and enhanced, where necessary.
- Ensure quality audits are planned and conducted periodically.
- Develop and maintain close working relations with other agencies and organisations.
- Hands on clinical physiotherapy session
Educational Requirements:
- Degree in Physiotherapy and registered under AHPC
- Minimally 6 years of working experience
