The role will support Visa’s principal investment and acquisition origination and portfolio management across the Asia Pacific region. The Senior Manager will support AP head of corporate development and ventures to define and execute an inorganic growth strategy for the region. Visa implements a proactive approach to sourcing transactions, while also maintaining the best of relationships with entrepreneurs, bankers, lawyers, VCs, and PE funds active in the multiple ecosystems in which Visa operates.
Responsibilities will include sourcing and vetting opportunities, supporting the construction of investment, acquisition theses with Visa stakeholders, facilitating due diligence, portfolio monitoring and reporting of strategic investments, and establishing relationships within Visa and external ecosystem partners.
In this role, you are expected to:
Perform industry research to identify acquisition and investment opportunities to support Visa’s existing businesses and expansion into new areas
Build an informed perspective on market segments of interest to Visa, including the creation of market maps, target comparisons, and analysis of VC and private equity investment trends
Coordinate with partnerships, product, functional and market teams to support defining strategic acquisition or investment priority areas and managing a pipeline of high impact opportunities for inorganic growth
Develop investment, acquisition materials that outline strategic benefits, competitive landscape, commercial terms, deal terms, and other relevant information for potential transactions
Support strategic investment due diligence workstreams across various domains including technical, business, financial and legal diligence
Monitor operational and financial performance of portfolio companies, facilitate quarterly performance analysis for individual companies and full AP investment portfolio
Cultivate relationships with FinTech's, VCs and other ecosystem partners to help identify and source inorganic growth opportunities aligned with Visa strategic priorities
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders
