Duties
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the oncology pharmacy, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and distribution of oncology drugs and related supplies to meet patient needs.
- Streamline processes to enhance productivity and minimize errors in drug dispensing.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Manage procurement, storage, and distribution of oncology medications and related supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock rotation, reduce costs, and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and pharmacy standards related to oncology pharmaceuticals.
- Implement quality control measures and perform regular audits to maintain high-quality pharmaceutical services.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement and operational improvements to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and safety within the oncology pharmacy.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement changes and monitor outcomes.
- Develop and manage the budget for the oncology pharmacy unit, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs while maintaining quality of care.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve growth objectives and expand the organization's presence in the oncology market.
- Identify new markets, partnerships, and growth opportunities in the oncology sector to drive revenue and market share.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors, and potential market gaps in the oncology industry.
- Utilize data-driven insights to develop targeted marketing strategies and adapt business plans to changing market dynamics.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including oncologists and nurses, to ensure effective communication and coordination in patient care related to oncology medications.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and facilitating effective communication channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including oncologists, nurses, and administrators, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Relevant experience in oncology pharmacy management or a related healthcare role.
