Marvell Semiconductors has a financial team who is data driven and detail oriented. They provide a strong business partnership to the Business Unit leaders by gathering financial data, performing financial analysis, and helping support business activity/decision making. Finance and Accounting also frequently interact and collaborate with other cross functional teams.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The Cost Accounting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring accurate cost allocation, analyzing manufacturing costs, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, preferably within the semiconductor industry, and possess excellent analytical abilities along with exceptional attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in cost accounting, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
- Proficiency in cost accounting principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and patterns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly those used in manufacturing environments, is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of cost accounting processes, including but not limited to cost allocation, cost analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Develop and maintain standard costing systems for various products and production processes.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and engineering, to gather relevant data and insights to support cost analysis.
- Prepare and present regular reports on manufacturing costs, variances, and other key performance indicators to senior management.
- Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable inputs and recommendations based on cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to cost accounting.
- Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Supervise and mentor junior members of the cost accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in cost accounting and related fields.
